British interior design studio The DesignFairy have completed the restoration of a residential building in London. This stylish and contemporary two-bedroom apartment, completed in 2013, is located in Balham, South West London, England. The Design Fairy is a multidisciplinary interior design firm specialising in classic and contemporary residential projects, as well as luxury commercial projects. Last year, the kitchen of this city apartment flooded (sounds familiar, doesn’t it?), and the owner decided not only to re-whitewash the ceilings, but to completely redesign and change her apartment. Since the owner had neither the time nor the opportunity to deal with the remodeling and renovation, she entrusted The Design Fairy with overseeing the remodeling and interior design of her home. The firm developed a design project and supervised the construction and renovation works from start to finish. When creating a new kitchen, the client’s wishes were fully taken into account. The colour palette, calm, not irritating, warm and cozy enough, demonstrates the femininity of the owner and has a relaxing effect. At the same time, both the color and style make the space fresh and modern. The apartment has completely updated furniture, pay attention to the harmoniously selected upholstery fabrics and decorative elements. In the unusual and rich living room, a modern chaise longue, a black dining table and works of modern art are wonderfully combined. And although the interiors of both bedrooms are unobtrusively interesting and new, the dreamy design is especially impressive, with bedside tables in a calming blue color and comfortable soft chairs.
