This folklore question is now taken quite seriouslysounds in New Moscow, where an unusual library is opening. What is this unusualness, and what does IKEA have to do with it? We will reveal the intrigue Who brings culture to the masses? Agree, only the last answer that comes to mind is designers. However, it is thanks to the specialists from the IKEA company, who developed and implemented the design concept of a new format library for the village of Maryino, and also selected stylish and modern furniture, that the cultural indicators in this area have soared to the envy of the dollar and euro exchange rates. Attracting the population to the source of knowledge is not an easy task. In the Maryino library, a surge in attendance is inevitable: it was possible to create a cozy home atmosphere in combination with stylish modern design, practicality and new technologies. It is now a pleasure to read books here, hold events and children's classes, use the library computers with Internet access or connect to Wi-Fi right there. In a large room (the total area of the library(is 136 square meters) there are shelves with books (over 13,000 units) and convenient storage systems, but this is where the associations with the library end and others begin. A beautiful carpet on the floor, comfortable sofas, an abundance of light and interior items that emphasize the coziness - why not a living room in a real Swedish house! But the sign at the entrance brings you back to reality: the library of the village of Maryino. What a wonderful reality, we must admit! Its initiator and co-author, in addition to the IKEA company, was the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow, which started the renovation of the village center of culture as part of the library reform program.
