As part of the “What to watch this week” section, weWe recommend such films and TV series in which decorators and designers have tried their best, creating impressive interior compositions. And today we will take a close look at "Game of Thrones" Today the sixth season of the most popular TV series of our time starts. "Game of Thrones" is not just a fantasy tale, it is a whole world with its own laws and rules, a huge number of characters and an unimaginably enchanting atmosphere. Filmed based on the novel "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George Martin, the series takes the viewer to a time of turmoil and deceit, when the seven great houses of Westeros fight for supremacy on the entire continent. Lies, intrigue, betrayal, wars, murders - such a powerful spectacle is gaining more and more fans every year. This world is truly vast.It extends from the icy wastelands of the north, where the mysterious Others are preparing an invasion, to the southern coasts of Dorne, full of sun and freshness, from the mighty fortresses of the West to the distant eastern cities, where the daughter of the deposed ruler raises her dragons. The monumentality and richness of the universe would not be so diverse if not for the creators' work on the external correspondence to the era and climatic conditions of the regions. Costume designers brought each representative of the Great Houses their own distinctive features, but they would look too pretentious if the environment were not so specific. And this is already the work of CGI specialists and especially decorators, who created truly stunning interiors. A huge castle located in the centercapital, has many different rooms - from royal chambers in towers to underground prisons. The climate of the area is similar to the coast of Croatia, where, in fact, the filming of the series took place. Therefore, the entourage of the Baroque Middle Ages is pleasantly diluted with flower arrangements, greenery and rich table settings with fruits, cheese, wine and pies, for which only the best dishes are intended. The Far North was the first to challenge the Ironthrone, when the head of the family was killed in the course of underhanded intrigues. The civil war that had begun did not often give the opportunity to appreciate the decoration of the castles of local lords, preferring tents and landscapes, but those moments when people had to huddle inside gave an understanding that winter was really coming. The buildings are strong, reliable, the ceilings are low, the window openings are minimal, the light is subdued - cold and snow are the main allies of the northerners, who for centuries built not palaces, but mighty fortresses. Uneven walls, the thickness of which is capable ofto withstand the long-term cold, hide small rooms behind them, each of which is heated by a fireplace. Massive wooden furniture, thick fabrics of muted shades, hunting trophies, skins and armor - the local inhabitants are harsh and warlike, so decor is not held in high esteem here. The situation is completely different in the south, in the country undercalled Dorne. The hot, sultry climate gives the local palaces specific characteristics. These include fountains, light sand tones, tiled courtyards, and fruit trees growing everywhere - oranges, lemons, peaches, kiwis, pomegranates... The interiors are a mixture of oriental flavor and Indian or North African motifs. Sun and sand, the dominant attributes of the south, are reflected in every detail of the costume or room. We met the Martell family, who rule Dorne, only last season, and there is a high probability that they will appear much more often in the new episodes.Beyond the Narrow Sea, it has been more than 10 years sinceThe Baratheon Rebellion, which ended the era of the Targaryen reign, hides Daenerys, the last descendant of the great overthrown dynasty. She is still very young, but she has more than enough determination and desire to take revenge on the traitors. Having raised three dragons, she gathered an impressive army and captured several cities, settling in Meereen by the end of the fifth season. The castle matches her character - a monumental and simple structure with a predominance of white, gray and black tones. Lots of stone, marble, and from the royal terraceapartments, surrounded by a brick parapet, the entire city is in full view. More and more allies gradually join the heroine, and if Daenerys finds a way to cross the sea, there will be one more player in the game of thrones. But this does not guarantee her victory. No one is immune from catastrophic failure, and the series has already proven this in full over all the years of its existence. And our previous selection can be found at .
