How to come to terms with the look of a room that you completelydon't like it, but which one your guests often use? No way. It needs to be redone, and urgently. We will tell you how it was done quickly and with minimal cost in one of the American houses, Jillian Warner, after her marriage, moved to her husband's house. A creative person, with her own aesthetic tastes and preferences, she actively took on changing the atmosphere of the house. And if in most of the rooms it was enough just to replace furniture, hang pictures, pick up carpets, then the guest bathroom required drastic changes. Gillian was faced with the task of selecting material, finding contractors. And all this - at minimal cost. The first step was shopping. As Gillian herself admits, from the huge number of tiles of all kinds, sizes, quality, and most importantly - the crazy price, she felt bad. However, as you know, he who seeks will always find. A solution was found in the form of a gray veined tile, which Gillian called "gray in apples." The price turned out to be an order of magnitude lower, and most importantly, the quality was quite acceptable. These tiles were used to decorate the wall above the bathroom and the floor. Thus, the gray color began to be effectively set off with white plumbing. In order to make the color transition more smooth, a white streaked marble worktop with a sink was chosen. To achieve maximum effect, a gray grout was used, which fits well with the tile, and, most importantly, does not accumulate dirt in the seams. Our opinion:- If you need a grout for your kitchen or bathroom tiles, choose an epoxy grout. It is more expensive than cement, but it is durable, moisture resistant, does not accumulate dirt. It lasts a very long time. Gillian chose the taps from brushed nickel. In her opinion, they are best suited to the chosen design. The most expensive purchase was an acrylic bath. Gillian liked her design and modern drain system. Our opinion:- The modern market offers a huge selection of baths. Acrylics compare favorably with many others in terms of price-quality ratio. They are aesthetic, durable, stable, heat-resistant. Their service life, of course, is less than that of cast iron, but they are much more affordable at a price. Fish fish fish Selection of paint for the walls became a problem. They were once the color of a biscuit, as Gillian claims. For a very long time she was looking for that single shade that would fit into the overall composition of the bathroom. And I found it. The Silver City Behr marquee paint was perfect. Our opinion:- If you decide to paint the walls in the bathroom, approach the selection of paint very carefully. It should be not only moisture resistant, but also antibacterial. Any stains should be easily removed from it. And what is important, it should have an aesthetic appearance. Otherwise, the bath will not give you any pleasure. Since the area of the bathroom, I had to select something very compact from the furniture. The most acceptable option, both in size and design, turned out to be a white dressing table with the same marble top. The bottom of the table is closed and is used as a cabinet for various bathroom accessories. The overall picture is completed by the colors of silver beads.and luminaires that are mounted on a matt nickel pendant. Please note: the switches and sockets in the bathroom, as well as the handles on the cabinet table, have the same color.
