Renovation in 4 months: 45-meter apartment with a view of Moscow City – etk-fashion.com

One-room apartment and chic - do you think theseconcepts are incompatible? Just four months of work by designers — and a Moscow one-room apartment in the Khoroshevsky district of Moscow turns into practically elite housing. The design of an apartment located in the Moscow-City district, and also intended for rent, did not seem like a simple task for Oksana Oleynik, an architect and designer with 10 years of experience. It had to be solved from the most basic — redevelopment. When the designer first started working, she had an open space of 45.18 sq. m. in front of her. It was crossed only by a section of a load-bearing wall 1.3 m long, on one side of which there were panoramic windows.According to Oksana Oleynik, everything should look like thisotherwise. Moreover, all this should not be at the expense of visual volume. Zoning techniques were used for this: with the help of furniture separating the living room from the kitchen, matte partitions behind which the bedroom is “hidden”. If you move the partitions apart, the bedroom becomes part of the common space, and all the rooms-zones together, starting with the hallway, seem to flow smoothly into one another. However, starting interior planning with organizing the space is the designer’s signature style.Oksana Oleynik, architect-designer GraduateFaculty of Architecture of Novgorod State University. As a rule, Oksana begins work on the interior with the creation of a functional space. All details, including decorative ones, are added along the way. As a result, a unique interior is obtained, inherent only to a specific room. Of course, the bathroom with a shower was immediately separated. On 3.5 meters, the designer managed to organize a cozy functional room for toilet procedures, where there is everything you need. Carefully thought out were which in a small apartment is always a problem. In the living room, this purpose is served by a built-in wardrobe with inconspicuous doors that should not attract attention.Another similar cabinet, but a little smallersize is located in the hallway. It has not only a section for clothes, but also a utility room with a boiler and a washing machine. The doors of this cabinet are mirrored. They repeat the living room panel, reflecting it.The interior of the apartment can be called eclectic. Here we have pop art, which manifests itself in bright wall drawings, and Scandinavian style, which is reminiscent of the general neutral background. Natural textures, which are an integral part of the eco-style, are perfectly adjacent to them. The color scheme of the apartment is also in keeping with the style. The calm light background of the walls is broken by bright, partly geometric and partly chaotically splashed "patterns" in the bedroom, living room and hallway. This was not chosen by chance. The rainbow spots of the interior do not conflict with the high-rise buildings of Moscow City, which creates a sense of community of space. The textile decoration of the windows also supports the general mood of the interior. For example, the pattern on the curtains in the bedroom and on the Japanese panels in the living room repeats the geometry of the wall images, but due to the neutral color allows them to remain only a necessary addition. On the windowsills there are decorated pillowsbright textiles. They are used when contemplating the view from the window or when guests arrive, who sit comfortably around a low table. Its tabletop is made from old boats. The designer reflected the geometry of the space in the bedroom, living room and hallway. The kitchen apron is decorated in an interesting way. The stucco molding in the form of cacti adds a touch of humor to the overall interior. Overall, it took four months to bring the project to its full implementation.Materials and equipment Kitchen:

Tips for using color in interior design

  • For the correct selection of a combination of colors, use a special table. In one room there should not be more than three colors and more than five shades.
  • When using contrasting colors, attention to their brightness. Equally saturated colors in equal proportions give a sense of imbalance. One of the colors must necessarily be more muted, and in combination, a larger proportion is assigned to it.
  • A very large room will look much more comfortable if you decorate it with warm colors: orange, yellow, red.
  • Conversely, to visually enlarge a small room, use cool colors in the decoration.
  • The most domestic color is green. It is used when you need an atmosphere of relaxation, coziness, peace. Suitable for any room, whether for children, bedroom, bathroom or kitchen.
