Apartment in the style of ecological minimalism

Minimalist designs are often boring. The owner and author of this interior added bright LED lighting and “green” decor from the familiar scindapsus to the clear forms and white color. After long and hard work on other people’s energy-efficient houses in Vienna, the architect Rudolf Lesňák decided to return to Bratislava and finally create something for himself. This something turned out to be an old, shabby 2-room apartment, 51 sq. m of which required an investment of as much as 90 thousand euros. The architect's goal was to create a bright andan interior free of unnecessary things with a large number of hidden storage systems. And he succeeded. There are no dark corners, almost all pieces of furniture have drawers, and the glossy kitchen even has a door to the bedroom built into it. The interior fully reflects modern realities: a person must be effective, and the interior - functional; and before getting rid of the garbage in your head, you need to clean your own house until it is white. However, for all its progressiveness, RudolfLesňák has nevertheless focused his interior on nature. Or rather, on the wall illuminated by halogen and LED lamps, the upper part of which is given over to the power of a plant that is well known to us. Remember the creepy crawly thing that took over the 90s?walls of many organizations? This is the golden scindapsus - one of the most unpretentious climbing houseplants, quite capable of not only surviving far from the windowsill, but also enduring all the hardships of coexistence with a workaholic bachelor. The architect chose a living plant for decorationcounterbalance to all the artificial materials used in the decoration and a huge amount of electronics. Scindapsus receives light from a nearby window and is grown hydroponically, which means it requires minimal care. Our opinion This house is literally stuffed withelectronics and, in order not to get lost in a dozen remote controls, the owner and part-time author of the project "tied" the control of the TV, air conditioner, blinds and much more to one remote control - Logitech Harmony 1100. Such an assistant can now be purchased at any large computer equipment store. The main accent of the project is a green wall grown on hydroponics - a system based on artificial environments without soil. This means that insects will not start in it and there will never be dirt. en.rules.sk
