Window dressing for the new year: the most beautiful of New York City

Be careful - viewing this article will force you toyou to go to New York for the New Year one day. We continue reporting from our "arch tour" of New York. And today you will see a fairy tale of colors and decor of the best Christmas windows of the city. When planning our architectural excursions, we specially chose the time when the city would already be festively decorated for Christmas. Here is a photo report from the streets of New York. We walked along the main streets of the city and photographed the best, in our opinion, windows. Let's start, as it should be, with the window of the main department store of New York and the whole country - Saks Fifth Avenue. This year the theme of the window decoration was the fairy tale "The Nutcracker". The dolls are amazing, exceptionally fine work, bright images. And as a result - crowds of onlookers on both sides of the street. Two years ago, the windows of a department store before the New Yearyear looked completely different. Cartier, as in the last ten years, had houses with wrapped gifts in the windows. True, not in all of them. In some windows a surprise awaited us - a tiny screen on which a panther periodically appeared. And three glowing panthers decorated the facade of the building. And since the store is located at an intersection, one could only sympathize with the drivers - the most beautiful pictures were taken right in the middle of the crosswalk. Bergdorf Goodman department store presented thisyear on its shop windows a green extravaganza. There were jungles and the waters of the Amazon. The beauty is so beautiful that you can't take your eyes off it. How the windows of the famous department store looked last year, you can The windows of the Ralph Lauren mansion were noir-style this year. The black background behind the mannequins was made of raven feathers, chains, burnt wood, in a word, gothic. Unfortunately, due to the upcomingDonald Trump's inauguration this year has seen guards posted around the Trump Towers, fences erected, and police on duty 24/7. And many boutiques located nearby had to make more modest decor than usual. However, the Tiffany & Co. facade did not suffer much from being next to the future president's property. This year, the line to get into the famous store almost stretched out onto the street. We left the rest of New York's best windows without comment. Because they are simply beautiful.
