Amazing news: this is the future gallery of mathematical sciences at the Science Museum (London), and its design was developed by the legendary Zaha Hadid. Who would have thought that after many years she would return here again, but not as a contemplator, but as an architect, to develop the design of one of the largest halls. It is planned that the gallery of mathematics, which Zaha is designing, will exhibit the achievements of mathematical science, starting from the 17th century.
One of the most striking exhibits that servedThe basis for the design of the hall will be the 1929 Handley Page bomber aircraft. Complex equations were used in its design and assembly to ensure the aircraft had a slow landing and a smooth takeoff.
Zaha Hadid decided to make this plane the main oneart object of the gallery. It will be fixed to the ceiling, and the entire interior of the hall will become a conventional display of its turbulence. To do this, Zaha had to work hard with mathematical formulas. At the same time, she managed to preserve her signature style and create another work of modern architecture. The opening of the gallery of mathematical sciences is planned for 2016. The exact date is still unknown. Zaha Hadid's website also reports that the gallery will be named after the sponsors of this project, Claudia and David Harding.
