How Photographers Live: A 17th Century House – etk-fashion.com

We've seen a variety of bachelor interiors — brutal, industrial, edgy, and jet-black. This time, we were drawn to a gray apartment in a 400-year-old building with a very interesting owner.

The home of a true creator never strikes the eyean abundance of shapes and shades. The rainbow with all its shimmers and reflections hides in depths inaccessible to the viewer, while the house in this case serves as a reliable shell where you can relax and fish out an idea or two from your inner abyss. This is exactly the kind of house that Swedish photographer Andreas Ackerup has arranged for himself.

The interior of the 17th century building cannot be called anythingluxurious, neither strict nor coldly bachelor. This interior is somewhat reminiscent of a domestic dog. Gray, with rare yellow spots, a little sleepy, soft in places, with some special bristly coziness.

The dog is clearly a purebred - grey background is at its peak right nowfashion, several pieces of modern and not so modern art only confirm the conclusions. In the far corner you can see traces of distant ancestors - the remains of a four-hundred-year-old painting on the wall. It is illuminated by a very well-chosen table lamp with a textured lampshade.

The furniture chosen is low and extremely comfortable.— the living room is clearly the owner's favorite place. Here he meets guests, relaxes, and reflects. Two symmetrical windows force him to adhere to the same principle in the furnishings.

The dining room assumes the frequent presence of guests, and, judging by the ascetic design, this house is visited by people very similar to the owner - inclined to introspection, contemplation of a blank sheet of paper and deep reflections on the eternal. The modest interior only contributes to this: a polished board on the floor as a symbol of grounding simplicity, a white starched tablecloth - here you have an excellent reason to talk about the eternal values of the past generation, and a gold star on top. In general, the interior is ideal for any creative person, because it is a clean, mostly white sheet, pushing off from which you can rise to stratospheric heights.
