This original building was designed forBelgrade by Japanese firm Sou Fujimoto Architects. The Serbian city may soon have a new structure in the form of a huge spiral, which will include shops, cafes, a promenade, an atrium, entertainment venues and much more; it will also become a key transport hub. This ambitious project is called Beton Hala, and the developers call it a floating cloud. Externally, the model really does resemble a huge curl going into the sky.The location was previously agreed upon"clouds" of glass and concrete next to Kalemegdan Park, not far from the ancient fortress, on the banks of the Sava River. The authors of the development are confident that their brainchild will integrate perfectly into the urban environment.Atrium with adjacent retail andentertainment centers will be located in the very center of the "spiral", with parking below. Special areas are provided for pedestrians and tourists, where they can stroll and, standing on special platforms, admire the sights of the city from a bird's eye view.
