Today's edition of our weekly column is aboutgood movies with good interiors will be special. After all, this time the advice was given by designers, architects and decorators - both Russian and foreign. Inspiration can be drawn from everywhere. But how nice it is sometimes to lie down in front of your TV and enjoy one of the most wonderful inventions of mankind - cinema. Absolutely everyone is interested in it, even professionals who notice various details for their future projects. We asked them which movies with interesting interiors they remembered and, perhaps, influenced their creative impulses. The previous selection - . Loft (2013) Designer Alena Timofeeva, together with her husband Sergey, recommended a film with a purely professional title - "Loft". Films in which the characters find themselves mainly in a confined space, especially in such a modern interior, are usually distinguished by a detective plot and psychological intensity. This thriller has it all – five married men have to figure out how a girl’s corpse ended up in their respectable rented apartment. It’s a remake, so you might want to check out the 2008 Belgian original. War and Peace (1965) Epic Movie Storyby the great Soviet director Sergei Bondarchuk, based on the equally important novel by Leo Tolstoy. Exactly 50 years ago, the film was released, and 2 years later it won an Oscar. More than 58 million people watched it during its screenings. This canvas is the most expensive production in the entire history of Soviet cinema, so was there any doubt that the scenery was in perfect order? Art director of the ArtBaza design studio Sergei Kovalev recommended that we remember the great. Four Rooms (1995) Restauranteur - recentlyVladimir Perelman, who opened his own studio I Like Design, recalled the 1995 film Four Rooms. And it’s true — in this funny genre mix, the main action unfolds around a funny doorman who decided to go to work on New Year’s Eve. Four different stories that happen to him in these four rooms are divided into four short stories, filmed by four different directors. And if the first two don’t cause much delight, the finale is simply gorgeous! Ex Machina (2014) This year's Oscar for"Best Visual Effects" - and in this category the film lost to such giants as "Star Wars", "Mad Max" and "The Revenant". The plot about a female robot with artificial intelligence (she was played, by the way, by the future Lara Croft - Alicia Vikander) unfolds in minimalist interiors, in which millionaires or computer geniuses usually live. High technology is everywhere, the views are mesmerizing, the actors play brilliantly, but it is worth looking through all this, because the film has a much deeper meaning. Thanks to the director of the center of beautiful electronics Artinstall Anton Usanov for reminding me about this film. Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) During a meeting withAmerican set designer Tom Filichia thought for a long time and came up with an excellent and light movie with the charming Audrey Hepburn in the leading role. Although the film is old, it is good, and it is interesting to watch even now. The entourage of that era is carefully created by costume designers, set designers, and also with the help of the soundtrack by Henry Mancini. An ideal sensual hit, making the film a cult film for its time. All About My Mother (1999) Architect RuslanKirnichansky recommended a film by the great Spanish director Pedro Almodovar. A serious, shocking drama that has collected a lot of positive reviews from both critics and viewers, which was reflected in box office receipts and a whole scattering of awards. A powerful and touching film about life and death, dreams and hopes, eternal separation and unfading love. Add to this the director's unique style and the interiors of the apartments where the action takes place, and you get a must-see film - complex, but beautiful. Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) On display"ArkhMoscow" talked to the creator of the Missoni Home textile collection, Wanda Elmini. All of her works are distinguished by their indescribably bright colors and intricate patterns, for which they are valued all over the world. When asked about the influence of cinema on her work, Wanda very emotionally answered that films give a huge portion of inspiration. Especially those made by the Marvel studio - visually beautiful, colorful, spectacular and fun. In the conversation, we remembered not only the recent "Captain America: Civil War", but also the rather down-to-earth "Ant-Man" or the cosmic "Guardians of the Galaxy". The latter film is one of the company's best products - who would have thought that a talking raccoon and a smart tree along with several aliens could not only please, but also be remembered by a wide audience. Throne:legacy (2010) Speaking of space romanticism, we also remember the charm of the computer-generated minimalism that dominates the film Tron: Legacy. It was recommended by the architect Yevgeny Pozharsky, because sooner or later this stylish and visually impressive film would have ended up in this section anyway. The digital cyber-universe has never been so beautiful, mysterious and attractive. It's a shame that the studio did not appreciate the cultural effect, but only the box office receipts, which were insufficient for a sequel.
