Do you like antiques and experiments? You are not a fan of modern interior style? We suggest you immerse yourself in a cozy Provencal atmosphere, created against the backdrop of an American loft and seasoned with Scandinavian elements. Mixing styles in modern interiors is common, so eclecticism is a field for the boldest experiments. The main thing is not to overdo it with details, so that everything looks harmonious. For example, like in an apartment from Los Angeles, designed by Joan McNamara.
The right background is the key to success
Masculine, reserved and stern, feminineRomantic and elegant — this is how you can describe this interior. Large space, spacious windows, unique antique items — everything looks very interesting, cozy and organic. Loft, Provence and Scandinavian — these three styles are combined under one roof. A bold experiment that combines American chic, French charm and Scandinavian simplicity. What is the secret of the success of such a risky combination? The main achievement, the basis of this interioris a correctly chosen background, which is the loft style. This is an ideal platform for demonstrating interesting antique items. And there are many of them here! The entire interior is imbued with the spirit of the past: elegant chandeliers, a stained glass floor lamp in the Tiffany style, table lamps, various animal figurines. An unusual use was found for an old baker's cart - now it serves as a bookshelf. Beautiful pieces of furniture made of wood, leather, as well as natural materials look great in the space and create a warm atmosphere. Our opinion: - Rough wall finish, large space, high ceiling with an incredible design, gray floor favorably highlight all the decor and furniture. These are the signs of a loft, which successfully coexists with Provence and Scandinavian styles.
Provence style kitchen
The central place in the interior is given to the kitchen -This is the center of the space. It looks elegant and romantic. The Provence style prevails here. It is original and captivates with its rustic romantic flavor. The hostess is happy to demonstrate copper and porcelain collections: dishes, teapots, ladles, figurines and unusual bottle-vases. Flowers add the necessary accents to this area. The area around the stove and sink is emphasized. The ceramic glossy surface of the kitchen apron resembles brick and matches the texture of the rough unplastered walls. The white color also harmonizes well with the decor and furniture in the room, while highlighting them. The kitchen island separates the dining and living areas. Three white pendant lights highlight this area. Black bar stools emphasize the integrity of the space.
Scandinavian dining room
The dining area is dominated by Scandinavian style. The dining room is distinguished, as strange as it may sound, by its exquisite simplicity. The table and chairs repeat the contours of the elegant chandelier, which is suspended on a chain. Natural wood and black leather upholstery fit perfectly into the loft atmosphere. Green accents in the form of flowers bring an element of nature into the interior.
American loft in the living room
The living room area is dominated by a loft, but withelements of Scandinavian style. Here, every piece of furniture and decor is unique. In this part of the space, everything sets the mood for relaxation and contemplation. To emphasize the ceiling structure and balance the interior, large decorative stars were hung in this area. The table with figured legs deserves special attention. It itself is a unique item from the past. Unusual vintage items were placed on it. A stained glass floor lamp in the Tiffany style was placed nearby - an echo of a bygone era. It acts as a bright accent, even when not turned on. It was deliberately placed by the window to create a comfortable atmosphere and enhance the play of light. The sun's rays fall on the stained glass lampshade, which emphasizes the beauty of the lighting fixture. The light that passes through the colored glass transforms the space and attracts attention. Our opinion: - A luxurious carpet, sheepskin with long fluffy pile and a sheep figurine organically echo each other and bring warmth and comfort to the room. This helps to soften the intense interior in the living room area.
Bedroom: organic symbiosis of styles
The bedroom area is separated by a natural wood screen.wood. It is in tune with other pieces of furniture, adds beauty and a sense of lightness and, most importantly, creates an intimate atmosphere. In eclecticism, unifying details play an important role so that the space does not look like a hodgepodge, but looks holistic. In the bedroom, you can see how one style smoothly flows into another. Part of the unplastered wall from the loft is in tune with a simple and rough wooden chest of drawers in the Scandinavian style. Here you can feel the masculine principle. Calm and gentle notes are given to the interior by airy curtains, a chandelier and a vintage, slightly shabby chest of drawers. These are traces of the Provencal style and femininity. There are no unnecessary details, only family photos and pleasant to the touch textiles. To prevent the room from looking boring, a bright accent in the form of a picture with inscriptions was added to the wall.
