This apartment is filled with New York stuff,Paris and London. Every detail of the interior is the romance of travel and the comfort of home, where it is pleasant to return from them. Each room has maximum light and stylish combinations of colors, materials and textures. Want to know how to repeat such beauty? Read our article When decorating this apartment in Sweden for herself and her family, Caroline Roth, who is used to traveling a lot, achieved the effect of peace and comfort that is inherent in luxurious hotel rooms. Behind every detail, from the door handles and curtains in the kitchen to the stuffed peacock in the living room, there is a story about fashion, travel and inspiration. Romance in the interior is an opportunity to experience emotions without sacrificing comfort. Caroline managed to maintain a balance; the apartment is just asking to be on the cover of a fashion magazine, but at the same time does not look frozen in time, like a museum. Here it is easy to imagine both children happily playing and their parents having a candlelit dinner. Caroline Roth, International Marketing Director at GANT Caroline was born in Sweden, but spent over 13 years in Paris and New York, where she held the position of Marketing and Brand Management Director for the famous fashion house Ralph Lauren. In 2013, she returned home to launch an advertising campaign for the famous clothing brand GANT in 70 international markets simultaneously. In her free time, Caroline devotes her family and her hobbies - fashion and interior design. gant.com A hallway with a tiled floor and a bright living room with a peacock Caroline is a fan of the aesthetics of luxury hotels. That's why she fell in love with this apartment at first sight. "I saw the chic floors, moldings and arched windows and felt like I was at the reception of a hotel," she says. She adds: "If you need inspiration, go to the most fashionable hotels and restaurants. The best designers and decorators work there, and you can always pick up interesting ideas from them." Black and white in the hall with light blue walls emphasizes the elegant functionality of the space. Here the guest first sees the blue and white lamps and vases in the chinoiserie style, which we will encounter more than once. And even simple shoe boxes can become a bright accent of the area - if they are, of course, bright orange. I managed to save it in the living room and it looks goodstunning. Note the lacy white panels covering the radiators under the window – a simple idea, and without them the interior would be completely different. The soft light-grey sofa beckons you to sit down, and the bedside tables behind it act as delimiters, separating the seating area. Imagine furniture arranged along the walls of this room – it would hardly be as cozy. The curtains hanging high above the arches of the window openings and the shiny elements – golden candlesticks, a mirrored coffee table – add space and light. An unusual accent – a bright stuffed peacock – Carolina bought at auction, having seen similar decor in an article about Tom Ford in Vanity Fair magazine. “It’s a very beautiful bird. I look at it – and I feel like I’m in the Ritz Hotel in Budapest. Only my husband doesn’t understand what I saw in it,” she says with a smile. Marble kitchen and dining room with porcelain andplastic The dining room in the apartment is combined with the kitchen, and there are so many interesting details here that it is difficult to decide where to start. What is the finish of the accent wall in marble worth - simple white cabinets would look great against such a luxurious background, but it was worth adding a little, and the interior became stunning. Nothing extra, just handles, a faucet, the finish of the built-in backlights and a plant pot - the kitchen looks so that it seems that only dishes worthy of Michelin restaurants are prepared here. However, white furniture is also good for its practicality - dirt is easy to notice and quickly clean up here, no one wants to create a mess among such beauty.Things get even more interesting in the dining area. There is a fireplace, the “hearth” of the room – its simplicity and clarity of lines gracefully contrast with the mirror above it, reminiscent of a stained glass detail from an ancient cathedral. Note the narrow bench with built-in shelves – it must be very convenient to host parties in this room with such an additional place to relax and store small items. The windows are covered with blinds (Carolina brought them from Paris) with a pattern that repeats her favorite decor, blue and white porcelain in the style of chinoiserie with motifs from medieval Chinese painting. And finally, the table in the center: on a modest gray linen tablecloth of loose weave – luxurious dishes with a golden pattern and crystal. This classic luxury in no way contradicts the chairs made of transparent plastic – everything together looks surprisingly harmonious and once again proves how well bold combinations work. Bedrooms with cozy textiles Bedrooms in the apartmentquite small. In the nursery, Carolina freed up more space for games by installing a bunk bed. So each of her daughters got their own personal space. And in the parents' room, a cozy alcove appeared, formed by two wardrobes - a convenient solution. The role of the missing bedside tables is played by built-in shelves. There are many well-chosen textiles here - pink curtains make the lighting in the room diffused and extremely beneficial for the complexion. The soft textile headboard and voluminous blankets, brought by the owner from London, add warmth and comfort. Spectacular bathroom with gold details In the bathroomThe same technique was used as in the kitchen — the noble beauty of the marble softens the shine of the golden details of the plumbing and decor, which, in turn, stand out effectively against the discreet background. Try choosing a bright metal — copper or bronze, for example, instead of traditional steel. The absence of hanging shelves — they are replaced by niches — makes the entire look of the room integral. It is light here — the owner believes that in gloomy Sweden there can never be too much light: “In each room I have at least five lamps, and candles, of course.” Did Carolina manage to achieve the “luxury hotel effect” in the interior? The romance and coziness of this house are undeniable. Is she ready to stop there? “Well, I’m thinking of making patterns on the ceiling and repainting the kitchen, but I don’t have time for that yet.”
