Is it possible to create a contrasting interior in a small room?apartment? We need it! — the owners decided. And the designer came up with a bright and invigorating space for a dynamic life, and then told us how to do it Large arrays of red and black are usually found in the homes of extravagant designers and in public spaces. For private interiors, this is a rare solution. For small apartments, it is exceptional. But in this house, it looks very convincing. And it proves that bright color and contrast are not an obstacle to lightness and freedom in the interior. On the contrary, it is a successful tool that helps to get used to the image and unite the space.
Her small one-room apartmentThe owners immediately wanted to make it modern and eye-catching. A young couple of avid travelers with a great sense of humor, active and businesslike, not yet burdened with children, but already with big plans for the future and a fair amount of useful things in the present, for which they needed to find enough space. To bring the interior into line with their lifestyle, they invited a young designer, Yana Lapko, with whom they immediately found a common language. Yana Lapko, interior designer Graduate of the National Institute of Design (2009), workshop "Art-design". Studied graphic design, interior design, environmental design. "But designing spaces - admits Yana - has always attracted me more than anything else, so immediately after graduation I went into private practice." Diploma of the 3rd prize of the International Competition New Material Design ZOW 2006. Diploma of the laureate of the 2nd prize of the IX open competition-review for the best project for the improvement of urban areas, Moskomarkhitektura.
The heart of the apartment is the room combined with the bedroom.living room: the designer immediately decided to change the configuration of the partitions and increase the functional area by glazing and insulating the loggia. There was enough space for both a home office and a dressing room. And the opening became an additional workspace: it can be used as a shelf, or two people can work together. The black ones deserve special attentioncast iron radiators, unusual contrasting accents that emphasize the graphic nature of the interior. They were bought at a regular construction market and painted on site. Yana Lapko, interior designer:— The customers wanted to get a bright and open interior with spacious storage areas, but at the same time separate the kitchen. Therefore, the main difficulty was to create four separate functional zones (bedroom, living room, study, dressing room) in a single space of a very small room-loggia.The space really worked outmultifunctional. Yana's favorite place, the cozy bedroom area, consists essentially of just a bed on a podium. It was custom-made from glossy black IKEA kitchen panels. On top is a lifting orthopedic mattress, and inside is storage space. Due to the hallway, which is unjustifiably large forsuch a modest apartment, the bathroom was enlarged. The hallway was not damaged either. Thanks to a successful color and style solution, it became the starting point in a large open gallery: hallway-living room-bedroom-loggia.Yana Lapko, interior designer:— The main artistic idea of the project is a red wall that runs through the entire apartment from the hallway to the loggia and separates the living area from the technical area (kitchen and toilet). It also unites them thanks to its brightness on both sides. The same connecting element is the contrasting pattern, which is repeated at the head of the sleeping area and on the floor of the bathroom. They help to visually expand the spaceglossy textures (kitchen facades, living room furniture) and mirrors. To support the idea of lightness, laconic objects in the same color scheme as the walls are used. The doors are specially made to match the walls, blend in with them and help create a sense of monolithic color scheme. Another great idea is a "mirror without a mirror": identical sofas in the living room and kitchen, adjacent to the red wall, reflect each other and work to visually unify the entire space of the apartment. Yana Lapko, interior designer:
— Accent floor tile layout scheme, imitating the image of a carpet, creates coziness in the bathroom. The black ceiling complements the contrasting floor of the room. And the white glossy wall tiles visually expand the space and are a neutral background for the active canvases of the floor and ceiling. It's amazing that the interior is so well thought outcarefully, does not seem artificial at all. On the contrary, the apartment seems to be impatiently waiting for its owners and all those little things and details that will fill its bright decorations with individual content. Large lamps hang low above the kitchen table - inviting you to cozy evening gatherings. And above the sofa, a magnetic board made from metal IKEA kitchen fronts is ready to place photos from distant countries.
When creating the interior were used:
- Bathroom tiles — FAP ceramiche (Italy).
- Wallpaper - Tuxedo Norwall, Wallcovering (Canada) and Siam, Texdecor, Casamance (France).
- Kitchen, cupboards, dining and coffee tables, chairs, countertops, light - IKEA (Sweden).
- Textiles IKEA (Sweden), H & M(Sweden) and DG-home.
- Sofas — Manzano (Russia).
- The podium bed is made to order from glossy kitchen panels MDF (IKEA).
- The cabinet on the window-sill extension in the kitchen is made to order to increase the storage space.
The renovation budget is 1.5 million rubles.
