Designer Timothy Barry and a group of Spanish architects are currently in the process of implementing their idea: they are finishing the renovation of an old New York house, turning it into a five-story ultra-minimalist townhouse. Unique technical and technological solutions will be implemented here, and then the happy tenant - and the house is planned to be rented out - will be able to manage the life of his unusual home using an iPad, being anywhere in the world.
With one movement of the hand you can reach from afar, thousands of miles awaykilometers, turn on the light and air conditioning system, turn off the heating or other household appliances. The built-in kitchen takes up very little space here and is closed from prying eyes by a sliding wooden structure. The main idea of the authors of the project is not to overload the townhouse with either furniture or decor. There is very little of all of this here. But there is a lot of light and thoughtful comfort, which can be changed remotely at any moment. Ecological and natural materials were used for finishing the house. Glass is actively used here, which allows natural light to freely penetrate into all corners of the spacious room. And if a tenant wants to see the Manhattan sky without leaving these apartments, he will only need to stand in a certain place on the first floor and look up: through the transparent glass ceilings he will be able to admire the clouds or notice that it is raining. Agree, these are excellent conditions for which it is not a pity to pay almost a million dollars a year, if you have it.
